Desoto County bus drivers are subject to a thorough background check and pre-employment drug screening. Annual and random drug and alcohol screenings are also conducted.  All bus drivers must be in possession of a current Commercial Drivers License with Passenger-(P) and School Bus-(S) endorsements and pass a DOT physical. In addition recertification is required every two years along wih several hours of in-service training conducted several times per year.
