12.  If I resign from employment with DeSoto County Schools, when would my benefits end?

If an employee resigns during the school year, all benefits will stop at the end of the month in which the resignation is effective. For example, if Employee Jones resigns on March 14th, his/her benefits would end on March 31st. If an employee resigns at the end of the school year, the situation is handled differently depending on the circumstances. For example, retirement and resignations for teachers at the end of the school year have different end dates.
